The Halo franchise doesn’t seem to be suffering yet, with the release of the newest game generating their biggest 1st day sales yet! The Halo franchise has generated more than $3.38bn in revenue since its 2001 launch, Microsoft said. Halo 4 is the first title to be developed by Microsoft studio ‘343 Studios’, and it has been receiving universal praise and reviews. In the first five days alone, four million Halo 4 players managed to play 31.4 million hours of the game, taking the franchise gameplay hours total to well over 5 billion; very impressive! Microsoft really had high hopes for their newest title and pushed the game with good advertising and marketing on all possible platforms. On the eve of the release Microsoft celebrated with an outstanding aerial lighting performance visible for miles over London. The Halo 4 Glyph symbol is one of the largest and brightest man-made structures to ever fly over the capital city and measures 50 feet in diameter and weighs over three tons (check out the video below to see it).

If like us you have yet to buy Halo 4, we suggest you go out right away and do so, we’ll be doing the same thing!
