I love filming My Hero Academia cosplay and cosplayers.
The popular Shonen anime has millions of fans across the world, and cosplay conventions have always reflected that popularity.
As I’ve learned more about the world of Boku No Hero Academia and Deku’s adventures at UA High, the urge to make a cosplay music video had been growing.
But I wanted to make something focused on the school life of these characters rather than the hero side.
The right idea had never presented itself, until we thought about how much fun it would be to have the characters play hooky!
Miranda and I had been discussing ideas for a video with cosplayer LavishBookman and Invisible Trickster, two incredible UK cosplayers who we’ve filmed at conventions. See them featured here and here.
When we talked about making a Bakugo and Kirishima video, I was very keen to have them bunk off school, but we soon realised that though Bakugo is a bad boy he would never knowingly bunk off.
So with a simple tweak we had an excuse for Bakugo and Kirishima to spend a morning away from U.A High School.
As much fun as it would have been to simply have Bakushima spend the day together we decided we needed something more…. that something was Izuku Midoriya to make sure they didn’t misbehave too much!
Luckily our very own Emi is an ahttps://theeightysixthfloor.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/placeholder-vertical-1.jpgome Deku cosplayer and stepped up to play the part!
With Camden standing in for Shizuoka Prefecture, we spent one sunny autumn day filming the My Hero Academia cosplayers!
The final video ended up being very punk, definitely thanks to the inspiration from the graffiti-covered streets of Camden Loch.
While this may be a different interpretation of My Hero Academia we hope you enjoy it.
I cannot say how much we appreciate all the cosplayers who starred in the video. Please follow them on social media via the links below.
