Did you think you had an unhealthy obsession with Pride and Prejudice and Mr Darcy? This film will make you feel much better…

This new romantic comedy directed by Jerusha Hess is based on Shannon Hale’s 2007 novel of the same name. The plot follows Keri Russel who takes on the lead role as a single thirty-something who is obsessed with Jane Austen’s novels and in particular, Mr Darcy (fair enough?!). However, she goes one step further than most and books herself into a British resort that promises to provide the ultimate Austen experience, the aptly named ‘Austenland.’

Austenland was premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and looks pretty funny from the trailer (below). Other cast members include Jane Seymour (Wedding Crashers), J.J. Field (Captain America), Bret Mackenzie (Flight of the Concords) and Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie).

Madison Gate Records have released the soundtrack, which is principally composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake) but also features tracks from Emmy The Great including ‘L.O.V.E.D.A.R.C.Y’!

Hilarious or just ridiculous? Watch the trailer below and let us your thoughts in the comments below, or on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
